End Hunger. BOX by BOX. Starting Now.

About Founder

“We believe that no one should ever have to choose between dignity and a meal.”

--EATBOX FOUNDER

Albert Lam, founder of EATBOX Foundation, is an ordinary man shaped by an extraordinary journey — born in Guangdong, lived through Hong Kong, and now calling the U.S. home.

Albert’s path has taken him through many roles:
A bakery owner, a factory worker, a graphic designer — and later, an entrepreneur who built businesses in printing, design, and internet services.

With deep experience in branding, product marketing, and digital platforms, he is also a passionate photographer, cook, and storyteller.

Over the years, he witnessed too many people struggling just to eat in cities full of excess. He saw piles of fresh produce discarded for being “ugly,” and shelves of near-expiry goods tossed despite being perfectly edible.

This contradiction sparked a question: What if we could turn surplus food into nourishing meals, and meals into hope?

Driven by that vision, Albert set out to combine his multidisciplinary skills, entrepreneurial mindset, and community connections — to create something meaningful.

Alongside launching the EATBOX takeaway brand, he founded the EATBOX Foundation — a nonprofit committed to transforming waste into worth, and ensuring that no one has to face hunger alone.
